Cracked Wheel

On our last road trip we hit a pretty big pot hole. It was a pretty good jolt but I didn't think we had broken anything. Ever since that we have to put air in that tire about once a week. It's loosing about 1 or 2 psi a day. I finally took it in to have it checked out. The wheel is cracked. Anyone crack a wheel - is it really that easy to break one ? :?
 
They usually buckle rather than crack but real common on all cars of this sort. Big rims, low profile tyres. Firm suspension and poor road conditions.

I guarantee almost all Zeds are running at least one slightly out of true rim.
