Cracked my windscreen

I wouldn't be happy with that mate, its not been fitted proper! :thumbsdown:

That's exactly it. The gen BMW seal (gasket) is supple and comes folded in a bag in a sort of figure of eight and flops into shape when its undone. Pattern parts - although they are marked OME come in a big cardboard box and look like a goal post - why because they don't flex as well. Know what I have fitted :thumbsup:

I had two screens in three months (stone and half brick on the road) and both times Autoglass got a perfect fit - no need to let it settle - and this was in the cool of late autumn. A class fitter will get a perfect seal straight off.
 
Called Autoglass and they are coming out to have a look as it has not improved much in the warm and with some time.

They where happy on the phone to replace the screen and do it again, as far as I can make out it is a trim cover that is not as good as the BMW one I have asked for the trim to be as good as the old one and they agreed we will see. Probably no need for the screen to come out but don’t know.
 
My son's zed had a new Autoglass screen but we insisted on a BMW trim. It didn't fit absolutely perfectly when first fitted, but was fine less than two days later when the weather was quite cool last year. Been fine since. The fitter wouldn't commit to an opinion, but didn't disagree that going for a BMW trim was the better option.

The screen has to come out again

The Autoglass man would not go as far as saying it was not right but said “I can see you are not happy with it we will re do it”

Now awaiting the parts and a day to re do the job.
 
Well Autoglass have been and removed the screen fitted a new “BMW” trim and the passenger side is very good the drivers side may need to settle for a day or two
 
Still not done proper mate, i wouldn't have them leave it like that if it were me.
