Cracked instrument cluster plastic replacement?

Hey folks,

I noticed two cracks on my e89 instrument cluster three weeks ago and they seem to be getting worse.

I've tracked the part down to the Trim Panel Dashboard page on RealOEM but it seems like the specific part that is cracked can't be ordered.

I reached out to a local supplier and was recommended to replace the entire dashboard which costs ~1.5k USD.

Few questions:
1. Anyone knows if the cracked portion can be replaced/swapped out?
2. Where might I be able to find one?

Thanks in advance!

My car has cracked exactly same place, seems it's part of the whole dash, but...
Just been viewing someone fitting digital dash and at the bottom looks like that part is clipped in.
Only option i could see was to stick something over like the carbon trim off Alibaba.
Don't like carbon, could be sprayed matt black i suppose.

I'd keep a couple of searches active on Ebay. Parts show up from wrecks, and you won't miss them that way.

In the meantime, I'd look into removing the part, and since it's a crack, using epoxy with something to reinforce from behind. At the least, it will be less visible and not progress to a bigger problem. At the best, it may be almost invisible.

Ahh thanks for sharing. I was hoping to only need to replace that particular plastic trim. I chanced upon a carbon fibre overlay vendor recently, who sells that specific piece overlaid with CF for ~500 USD. So I'm assuming there must be a way to obtain that specific piece. :|
