Cracked alloy

Dropped my 5 series into my local independent the other day, to get it on the ramps and see if they could track down the rumbling noise. It seems the front O/S brake is rubbing. Should be a simple fix.

The bad news is they discovered the front N/S wheel is slightly buckled (pot holes?), although it does not vibrate, so probably not too bad. And the inner edge of the rear N/S wheel has a crack in it.

Does anyone have experience of having alloys repaired? (Derbyshire/Macclesfield areas).

Depends on the price to replace really. I've heard plenty of stories about repairs just cracking again around the same spot due to the stresses you just can't see. At the end of the day, should the wheel fail, what price safety?

I know they can be repaired but the wheels ad tyres are you only contact with the road. For me - replace it.
