After excitedly turning up to get a lovely set of Michelin's fitted, I was given the lovely news that one of my rears has succumbed to our wonderfully potholed roads, I have now had it welded but it is only a matter of time before it goes again. With that in mind, I am looking at changing the wheels, I'm open to suggestions and pics as I'm not really sure what style I fancy, possibly 405M or M4 style but as I said I'm open to suggestions, 19 inch on a white E89 for info.

I don't think a repaired rim (if done properly) is any more likely to split again than a set of new reps .
If really concerned consider tyre sizes & pressures to increase the odds in your favour , after all bad roads are everywhere , you can't avoid them :(
 
Yes I suppose you are right, I have had reps crack on me in the past too, the Michelin's that are going on are 255/35/19 so hopefully that will help a little bit.

Will help greatly , stick 34/36psi & you can't really do anymore
 
This is a common problem on the z4.i have had to replace my wheels about 3 times in the last year and a half. A wheel specialist told me the set up is so backwards on the car.they look good but the run flats are too stiff for the 19inch wheel meaning it takes the full impact.
I'm not moving away from run flats to try and find a solution but it's a big problem for me and making me want to move away from the car. It shouldn't be happening and BMW outright refuse to take responsibility!

If you're set on continuing with runflats you could consider brand, size & tyre pressure to give you a chance of it not happening again.
You only need to look at a 326/296 with the stock 255-30 profile to know what's likely to happen :cry:
