So, I figured I'd share my story with you guys... The fun never ends. Over the weekend in West Virginia for the ZSCCA get together, I realized I was loosing pressure in my left rear tire by about 4 lbs/day. Kept refilling it, drove home, and removed the tire to have a look. I covered the entire tire 3 times over and couldn't find anything wrong with it. Turned the rim over and soaked the bead in soapy water and voila! Massive air leak. :headbang:

Surprisingly I didn't get too screwed from the stealer. I got a brand new rim with the old rubber installed on it for $477. They gave me the new tired and looked at me funny when I told them I wanted the old rim also. No way were they going to make any money off of it.

unlucky that happened but lucky you found it before it caused some real damage.

powder coat the wheel and get some glass to stick on top of it....and bingo z4 table!

Might be the angle, but to the right of those two crakcs the rim looks a bit flat as if's it's hit a pot hole

No, that's just the angle, the rim is perfectly round except the cracks. I'm gonna look to see how much it will cost to get repaired, then I'll have a spare or sell it. Haven't made that decision yet.

It would seam (sp) to me that a good wheel doctor, a welder and a grinder could bring this rim back to life!
