I have just had the displeasure of discovering this damage to my car. Its not major but it does feel like a chink in my armour!
It is just to the left of the rear numberplate, and is about 8mm in length.
Im not sure how it has happened, but at the centre of the crack it appears to bulge outwards slightly (towards camera). This is making me think there may be a hard point behind it, and someone perhaps may have kindly bumped the back of my car, causing the panel to be depressed against the bodywork and cause the damage.
I have two questions I was wandering if anyone would be kind enough to answer for me, as my Forum searches have proved fruitless.
1. What products can I use to initially prevent the crack from propagating?
2. What longterm detailing work can I do to fix / hide the crack?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
