CPV leaking

Hi guys, did my oil change after getting rod bearings replaced and noticed my cpv is leaking a little. I was suppose to have this replaced at the same time as the bearings but forgot!!!!! :headbang:

Seems like an easy diy however does anyone know where to buy a tool that will make removing the cpv easier, in the US they call it a drag link socket (http://m.ebay.com/itm/332108692648).

Thanks

How big does it need to be? https://www.cromwell.co.uk/shop/hand-tools/screwdriver-insert-bits-hexagon/product/p/KEN5732880K

Assume it's only the seals that nee8d replacing not the entire cpv?

Yup just the seal.

1 Seal in the CPV

Great ordered from john, he's already shipped it out so hopefully be able to fit it on the weekend. On removing the cpv will there be any oil loss?

Tiny amount.

Really not enough to worry about

I got the tool and seals from John too. Be prepared: it's a bitch of a job that will require a lot of arm contortion and swearing. I did mine with the engine carrier reinforcement place removed and reckon it would have been that much harder to try with it still on!

My tip: stick a ratcheting ring spanner over the hex section of the drop link socket
