Looks very nice! Any chance of a how-to? ;)

I was going to take my mirror caps off soon to have them painted along with the front bumper (to get rid of all the stone chips). Would be nice to do this mod whilst I have them apart....

Very Nice! Excellent upgrade and really stands out!

Look forward to DIY write up with parts and where to buy.

its simple...run the wires to the dome light. wire the LED"s and BAM u got em!

im not gonna have time to do it. going on a 10 day cruise soon :)

as far as the LED"s i bought one of those pictured that have 194 bulb base and cut the base to fit in the mirror assy. sealed with rubber sealant and ran the wires to the dome light with pit stops at the foot well.

Looks good, question(s): any fault codes thrown yet? On a scale of 1 to 10, how easy was it to snake through rubber door conduit?

1)no fault code... why?
2)i didn't i just ran outside in between the doors. just covered them with elec tape. half ass, gets the job done.

if I might add.... the ground at the dome light doesn't like all the added wires so the negative wire for the added lights need to be grounded to the chassis which I did inside of the dome light on the Windshield header...If i knew of this sooner, I would have grounded it elsewhere but found out after i wired everything and found it didn't work. after few tests...ground was lacking.

i used the same LED for footwell and mirror because they have wide viewing angle but they were 194 bulb base which made it easier rather than having me solder my own resistors.

just ebay. I don't know specifically what those type of LED's are called.

look carefully. I just would not buy ones that have multiple narrow angle LED's put together. it's definitely more expensive too.

I dont have footwell lights in my Z4.
Where is the easiest place to get +12V feed.
I want that they come on when the interior lights are on and go off also.
