Couple questions - Wheels and other accessories.

Hi, I know it's usually bad form to join a forum and do nothing but ask questions, but as you guys know a more about Z4s than I do I hope you can help.

First off, I'm sat at home waiting for my new springs do be delivered... they are meant to be here today, I hope they are so I can fit them tomorrow.

Now as I'm going with a 30mm drop I was wondering if anyone can answer a few questions on 18" wheel fitment.

I would like 8.5j 245/40/18 Front and 9.5j 275/35/18 rear. Now a lot of people don't understand the bulging tyre look as it's common to stretch tyres these days, but it gives an aggressive old skool muscle car look; something I feel the Z4 can get away with in this modern world. It also protects rims against curb rash.

The initial questions I have are to those who have 18" wheels fitted to non M models and are lowered 30mm:
What size tyres do you guys have fitted?
What ET offset are you running?
and what is your clearance like both against the spring and the arch lip?

(This will help me gauge if I can go with this look)

Finally (now this is probably a no no to most) but I quite ofter drive along a gravel road, although it's level and not a problem for the car, stones fly up. Are there any subtle mudflaps which can be fitted to to help preserve my paintwork? If so where can I source them?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Oh as a note, I found the sound generator mod guide very useful and it was the first thing I did when I got the car... I have also now swapped to a stubby too after seeing them fitted on here, and it's certainly an improvement over the OE whippy thing.

Hi- this forum is a wealth of knowledge on the z4 and a friendly place- so ask away!
There are mudflaps for the z4- one or two members have them-

may also be worth getting some invisable stone chip film on the bottom of the rear sills.

ive got bmw mudflaps , but since i swapped to csl s (7mm further out ) the 255 stick out a couple of mm past them so with 275 wont be worth fitting them
