So it was the first trackday of the season for me on Sat. First time with PSS tyres all round and the weekend before I fitted a new passenger side front caliper, Carbone Lorraine RC6 brake pads and Carbone Lorraine racing fluid. The brakes took a lot of getting used to. At first I thought they were terrible. I was getting a lot of juddering and a pretty poor feel. However, once I started to use them properly i.e. Stamp on them, they came into a class of their own and were incredible. It was my first dry trackday in the M so it took a few laps to find some pace and gain some confidence.
Here's a few pics - not much love for the M from photographers; more interested in the 10 GTRs that were on track :|

My friend Clark then took me out and showed me how to drive properly;

There were a few other M cars on track to have some fun with. Unfortunately this M3 had more fun playing with the GTRs;

It's 'charged and running approx 6-700bhp I believe.
I did however get to have some fun with this CSL;

Quite surprisingly the Z was quicker along the main straight than it. We had quite a good battle for a few laps;

I had to concede and let him past though as he was quite a bit quicker through the corners. Mainly due to running slicks
Anyway, all in all it was a brilliant day and the car was awesome. It really was astonishing see what the Z is capable of in the hands of an incredibly skilled driver (my friend, not me). I was also very impressed with the PSS tyres. The grip they offered when hot was pretty spectacular. Unfortunately my Gopro decided not to record, otherwise I would have had some brilliant footage
Next trackday is at the end of March so hopefully I'll make that
