Couple of niggles with bodywork on prospective z4 purchase

As in a previous post, I mentioned the z4 I'm looking to buy has a few 'niggles' which need tidying. The main one is the Plastic strip at the bottom of the windscreen (below where the wipers park) is loose from the drivers side corner to middle of the screen. Question is, is this a common fault on these cars or I'm thinking if the windscreen has ever been replaced that someone was a bit heavy handed meaning the plastic is about 5mm off the glass. Is this easily fixed and more importantly if water is running down the windscreen and under the gap, is it likely to be causing water ingress into the car unnoticed causing 'hidden' damage.

Also the front towing ring and bumber cover are missing - are they expensive to replace?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

The trim is purely cosmetic as the screen is bonded to the body so will have no effect on water integrity. The plastic is actually held down by a series of push down clips that are bonded to the underneath of the trim. I suspect the windscren has beed replaced and they were broken during removal. They should be able to be bonded back on in a few minutes or replacement from BMW if missing (but check)

Bumper cover inserts should be cheap but unless you do it I'd expect a few quid to get it sprayed.

Thanks for the reply - that certainly puts my mind at ease and wont be too much of a problem to sort if I do end up making a purchase. Will let you know if I do, with relevant pics of course
