Coupe Xenon Headlight options

Hi Folks,

Hit a bit of a wall trying to ascertain the best course of action to replace my offside headlight.

My sidelight died spectacularly inside the unit and part of the angeleye assembly is melted to the entrance hole (giggety) of the sidelight lens.

I understand there aren't aftermarket options for cars fitted with xenons, is that still the case?

Any sage advice on replacing would be welcome, I'd like to avoid the stealer premium if poss. Was looking at Hella/Magneti but they are still pretty steep circa £600 area.

Still the case. I have one, which needs repairing so was planning to cut & shut. Can't remember whether its a N/S or O/S tho :headbang:
If you don't mind that, then maybe we can come to an agreement? Feel free to PM me :)

If yours turns out to be n/s and the OP needs a o/s then I'd be interested.

Haha have attached some photos of the failure! You can still see the tip of the bulb buried in the holder (2nd photo). Managed to use a dremmel to break up the old holder and get it out.

Bulb went a while back and read about the angel eye hack to get the bulb out the holder. Funnily enough someone had a go but dremmel'd out the plastic crimp welds instead of cutting notches in the top, so was poss compromised, but you can see the effect is removing the central cylinder for the bulb (middle part not pictured)

Tried a few diff ones due to conflicting/confusing info on bulb type T4W and BA9 etc. All replacement bulbs died and this latest one exploded so bit the bullet and called Sopers for the official part. If that goes I know it's something more sinister.

All good fun!

TLDR: I don't need a headlight now.
