coupe tailgate trim

I need to get some info from you guys here on how to remove the tailgate interior trim. has anyone done this? how easy and did you need to buy new clips? my reason is I need to get into the tailgate to spray some waxoyl inside to help with protection of the panel.
 
As a starting point I know that the bit by the hinges just pulls off, then it may open up being able to pull off or unscrew other parts.
 
There are a few screws around the edges, and then it's just a bit of pressure to prise the cover off.

It was actually harder to get it back on as mine didn't want to line up perfectly.

I'd only taken it off to fix a rattle from when BMW had repaired a bit of corrosion under warranty.

Mines just been done for corrosion too, so want to get into there to help prevent it again as much as possible
 
Why do I keep reading this as.....couple tailgate Tim????

Did it last week to install an amp.

Fiddly, and frustrating.

The two mouldings (one hex screw and clips) on each side next to the quarter window need to come out otherwise the side panels won't come out.

No need for new clips.

You should find something online, but I did it by guess work, as I'd done it before.

A bit of swearing and it's doable.
