Coupe Stereo Fittings

I've had a jangle through the FAQ's but nothings mentioned about the Coupe stereo? I notice that there is a LOGIC 7 options as well, can anyone let me know how I tell the difference as I definitely want the upgraded audio, spending a three hours in the car every day places it high up on my list!

Taken this from FAQ:
"If you have cubby boxes behind the seats you have basic, if you have DSP settings you have the DSP, anytihng else you have the Hifi option. Anything other than the Basic Hifi is incredibly difficult to upgrade"

I have got the basic setup and I find it fine for me, when I turn it up I feel the bass vibrating my back and feet :D
 
Logic 7 replaced the Carver/DSP in 2007.

TBH you'd be pretty hard pushed to find a non-M with the upgrade, most ones I've seen had at most the Hifi upgrade, but most had standard system.

Much of a muchness, it's another £1300, but lower mileage and a touch newer. Its odd how the prices of these seem to vary so much irrespective of kit. Even the BMW dealer network has better quipped, lower mileage 2007 cars going for less than some 2006 models.

Don't forget if you buy an AUC you get a 1 year warranty and if the service interval is close you may well be able to push for that to be updated as well. It has a few months of the original BMW warranty left as well. For that price difference I'd go with Wondermike's suggestion, of the 2, and I'd expect a little discount. Also you get the nav which I think you wanted... better for re-sale too (if not the price then saleability). And, Nav = iPod + Intravee.

Have added the Logic7 reference to the FAQ, couldn't remember the selling point, but reading this suggests it was an extra central speaker. Never seen this on a Zed tho. :?

form that link, the logic 7 isn't available on any model.. plus it had 13 speakers, not the ten listed... wtf? lol
 
It was meant to be a Dolby system, like 5.2 I guess. But yes, another excellent link from Mike shows it's the same as the Carver system, so it was either just renamed for marketing, or it had a different DSP box which did something to represent Logic7.

Not sure why I'm still here, I haven't got it :tumbleweed:
 
Yeah not sure, I thought I had a press release for Logic 7 in the Z4 but I can't find it now.

There was a part number change for the DSP amp too, but not sure if that means anything significant or not. Hmmm.
