I have the M-roadster, but I think the convertible novelty has finally worn off for me. I've had the Z3, two Z4's, and now the Z4M, which I think is going to be the last convertible I'll ever buy. Saving up for either the Aston Marton Vanguish or the 997 Turbo. :)

Roadster rulez!!! Did you know the coupe's come with a can opener when you buy them? Just in case the owner changes his mind :P

I left bimmerfest because I felt it was just a little coupecentric for my tastes. That, and you're nobody if you're not part of the in group.
^+1... I hear ya

Id say the roadster if you want to be seen and you live in a nice warm climate....

Buy the coupe if you care more about performance driving --> going to the track
And if you live somewhere cold and rainy. Plus the coupe is a bit cheaper, take the money saved and put it towards some new wheels/tires.

loved 'em all, and couldn't imagine owning coupe versions, nice as some of them may look :)

ditto... some of the most memorable experiences are in changeable weather and crisp winters' mornings.. long as it's not snowing, roof is down =)

IDEASEngineer, how about that sunrise this morning? 57 degrees, top down, seat heat on low, a few sirrus clouds straight overhead, Jimmy Buffett blaring from the speakers. Oh, what a morning!!! I even looked up at one point and told God that I was amazed that he was able to make NJ beautiful if even for only an hour. 8)

So I got a chance to drive an M Roadster today (thanks, MakoBimmer!). I previously had never considered the Roadster during my buying process, which is why I never drove it before. Although my drive today won't get me to convert (ha... nice PUN), I must say that it was cool being able to have sky above my head. The airflow through the car's quite agreeable too, and didn't really mess too much with the warmth inside the car.

The ride quality is softer than on the Coupé, but you can still feel the road quite well. I like being able to hear the engine more (with the top down) too in the Roadster.

All in all, I've really come to like the Roadster, and would love to take one out again sometime. But at the end of the day, I'll have my Coupé back, please. :)

You forgot one, Rick, you get noticed more by the ladies
I think he has just been infected with the roadster bug. The infection will spread... :driving:

The "Roaster" is absolutely first rate in my opinion. I stll miss it on nice slightly warm days with low humidity and low pollen counts.... :(

Nope... no ladies yesterday. :( The weather wasn't conducive to having hawt, skimpily clad women out to gawk at my borrowed "Roaster." I guess maybe I like Summer better now.

I think that if our Zed was available as a Targa, I'd get it in a heartbeat. Are you listening, BMW???
