Coupe Mass Exodus!

I was just having a quick browse on Autotrader, and was surprised by the amount of E86 coupes for sale all of a sudden. I was looking for about a month either side of buying mine just to get a good idea of prices, and there were never more than 20 or 30 on the website at once. The rarity was something that appealed to me. But now there are over 100 up for sale! :o

Prices don't seem to have fluctuated much (if at all) I'm just amazed by the huge increase in the amount up for sale. I was under the impression that there were only a few hundred of them in the UK to start with, so it seems odd that almost half of them are for sale on one website. I know it's the time of year people would punt on a roadster after enjoying it for the summer, but I wasn't expecting it to happen to the coupe.

Not trying to start a coupe vs roadster debate again (we'd win that anyway, there are thousands of E85s for sale on there ;) ) but just wondering if anybody else has noticed this in past years.
 
If it makes you feel any better put in the search over 100k mileage or under £8k max , , , then you,l be in your own little ZC club :thumbsup:

According to the howmanyleft website there are around 300.

Unfortunately that site is hugely unreliable because of the multiple different ways that the cars are described when registered. There were about 2,200 coupes sold in the UK, plus roughly 600 MCs.
 
I was gonna say there is waaaay more than 260 coupes..

I see 3 fairly regularly.... Whereas I think I may have seen only one other M coupe.
 
If you just put Z4 into that site you get about 3 pages of results, and none of the numbers add up because, for example, a Z4 3.0 Sport Auto could be either a roadster or a coupe, and so on.

No idea where it originally came from, but generally accepted as the right numbers.
