Coupe interior rattles

Recently it seems my coupe has been getting more rattley and starting to annoy me to the point where I have to drive everywhere with the radio on so I cant hear them.

They seem to be coming from most places..the a-pillars, door cards, plastics behind and to the side of your head. Most of them can be made to stop rattle if I push them in with my hand whilst on the move but its not the best option as I may end up like z8cookie :driving:

Anyone made any fixes for rattles in their coupes? Dont want to list every little rattle but if youve had any and fixed them please share...

Thanks guys

ah jez please dont turn this into a coupe v roadster battle..coupe wins handsdown everytime which we have confirmed several times

Give some specifics and I'm sure someone on here can help

Only squeaks ive heard tend to be from the cup holders and even then only when the air temperature is very cold. As soon as the cabin warms up they are fine..

The build quality of my coupe seems far superior to that of my old roadster which used to squeak and rattle like mad..

Sorry not much help I know.

you may find it's the same source for many of the squeeks. Mine was the door card after I had it off so many times; I broke the plastic clips so they rattled for everything, radio, bumps, farts you name it.

Yea used to be just when really cold with me too but now can hear them all the time. :(

so take the likes of the door card..did you get the rattles fixed?

My door card would rattle and buzz over anything thats not smooth tarmac..if I lean on it with my arm at the top just below the windowline just when cruising it creaks etc.

Mine was the glove box and the cup holder on the drivers side. I "fixed" the cup holder by removing it and now have a nice hole in the dashboard. I tried to fix the actual cup holder but ended up totally ballsing it up and it is now in several bits!

The glove box was much easier. I took the first aid kit out from under the seat and jammed it into the glove box, glove box doesn't rattle any more! Its also a bugger to shut!

Drive even faster with more revs, sure fire way of forgetting those creaks & rattles exist. Fortunately my roadster only creaks with the roof up on the door seals, otherwise for a Pre facelift feel has been put together very well..

Best of luck with my earlier tip Coupeee...

I can't understand this coupe v roadster winging that goes on - they are both fantastic cars in their own rights. End of story. There you go that is from a roadster owner. It reminds me of the school playground mentality "my dad's car is better than your dad's car" - in my particular case it was was'nt true - my mates dad's car was a Ford Zodiac straight 6- 3 litre, my dad's car was a Morris Oxford - for those of you who can remember that far back -(1967) - LOL as you young dudes would text these days

and its all in jest

Mine started rattling in the rear from the boot lid trim I removed and refitted the pieces and it's fixed now, both rear springs were broken which I'm guessing caused the issue in the first place.

Hmm I might take a look at that daz, sounds like there's something back there rattling. Thanks for the info.

My glove box has started rattling really badly ... If it is open and I reach over and hold it (a bit awkward while driving), the rattle stops. I don't think the rattle is from the lock mechanism, but from the lower rear hinge on which the whole thing swivels up and down. Noise drives me nuts.

I am going to have to give it in to be fixed when everything re-opens in a few days time.

Entire glovebox on the car im looking at had to be replaced, probably for this reason and the fact it wouldnt close shut!
