Coupe Interior Creaking

Have been through every inch of the car curing creaks and squeaks in the plastic interior panels. The only one left is from the triple section of trim that fits to the "hatchback" boot lid. I've had these off, padded behind them and done all sorts but it still drives me insane creaking and squeaking.... anyone else experience this and have any suggestions to solve other than play stereo loud, drive faster, don't drive etc

More seriously all of mine have done it to some extent, but I've got used to it and just look at it as part of the car's character!

I’ve come to terms with the characteristics of the car too. And since then it has been behaving itself more 😂.

I believe there is a thread somewhere of nearly all possible creaks and rattles.
 
I kinda agree along the lines of Mr. Tidy, where in my humble field experience have never heard a single creak inside my S54 + Gruppe ///M Coupe

I often hear very angry noises though :rofl:
 
I temporarily removed the centre piece on the boot lid and the creaking has stopped entirely. I'll try some felt pads squashed between it and the side trim when I refit it. The front squeak has also been sorted...the bottom screw holding the cup holder in had been in and out a few times so needed replacing with a fatter self tapper...
 
I had sort of forgotten the creaking plastics as not been on the road since November. Back on the road next week will now bring this back into the limelight or eardrums again :D
I have a lump of black felt from my kit car building days and guess I will have to project this, this year, as did drive me nuts. But weirdly in the winter time of watching Harry's garage with more modern expensive motors does make me realise that 'they all do that' with creaking interior paneling and glad I hadn't spent tons more money on the cars he has been testing to here the materials and build quality being no different to my 13yr old Zed.
