Hullo all,
After managing to sell my EVO VIII MR FQ300 2 weeks ago i finally managed to get my hands on a nice Coupe yesterday. Got the train down from Glasgow to Birmingham to buy it privately from a top bloke called Simon.
It's a 3.0 si Sport in Ruby Black with the Coral Red Dakota leather. It has the comfort pack, privacy glass, bluetooth and cruise control. I was pleased when I picked up a Belkin connector lead in the Apple store today and the old iPod worked a treat with the Aux port.
I'll get some pictures up when I've had a chance to give the car a really good clean and polish - hopefully on Saturday if the weather is okay - it's been pouring down in Glasgow today though and the forecast for the rest of the week looks pretty grim. I can't stop looking at the car - I love the shape of it - it's just such a classic sports car design - I'll be deliberately looking for mirrored buildings to cruise by at this rate
After doing the long (4.5 hours) drive up from Birmingham to Glasgow and having driven the car to work and back today I'm really enjoying it - it's exactly how I expected/hoped it would be - looking forward to getting out and about on some decent drives on the twisties. My only slight gripe is the gear-change - it's not the best feature of the car it's fair to say.
One bad experience so far with the car so far - I pulled up at the lights beside a black M Coupe tonight - caught the guys eye and gave him a wave only for him to blank me - guess he thought my car was below him or he just isn't into the whole friendly wave thing I've done the wave thing with my last three cars - EVO, s2000, Civic Type-R - and most folk reciprocate but you do get the occasional grump that doesn't - not to worry.
Lastly I'm looking for some advice - this is my first BMW and I suspect it may be faulty as my indicators seem to be working perfectly - should I take it to my local dealer to get it looked at?
Cheers,
Billy
