Coupe for £4500

Can a dealer actually sell a car to the public on a 'trade sale' (which is what they are offering)?
Surely there are consumer rights when buying from a business which trump any 'sold as seen', 'spares or repair' bollox? :?

I saw a YouTube video and all cars sold to the public must be roadworthy, and if sold as trade, to trade. Would need to be trailered away.

Yip, which is why it’s that wording, not retailed so no warranty or obligation for any discoveries once bought. Sell it any other way and they have an obligation hence my earlier post

I personally think this could be a good buy subject to normal checks, great colour and the engine is more than capable for the mileage

Since it's up the road I'd be tempted to buy it as a spring project but, even if I fixed any of these theoretical problems, is it going to be worth that much more with the mileage on it? People are getting used to higher mileages on cars but, AFAIK, 150k is the newer version of the 100k psychological barrier.

It's also, according to the website, 1 owner from new.

It would likely be a hard car to sell due to the mileage in the future but can worry about that later down the road 😄

It's funny. I think the coupe is jaw droppingly gorgeous and, in red, devastatingly pretty but I don't think I'd have one. For me, I got a Z4 because I want the roof to come off!

The cheapest one is also a 'trade sale', the other two are private so £4,500 still seems too cheap.
No such thing as a free lunch, especially when it comes to anything with an engine IMHO. :)

Now, eBay. Still maintain if you’re good with your hands and want to run this it’s a no brainer. Can break it at the end of the day if it becomes too expensive to keep going
