So today I went about cleaning my DISA valve on my 2007 Coupe.
Followed Bing's guide in the 'how to' section and it all went very smoothly (thanks Bing!).
The valve was very clean indeed and felt solid. The car has done nearly 92k miles so I was quite surprised. There was a small amount of oil in the area though, does anybody know if that is normal?
When removing the sound generator I noticed a piece of foam in the pipe going to the back of the glovebox. And here was me thinking that both pieces of foam had already been removed, when there was still a sneaky piece in the end attached to the sound gen.
Needless to say I swiftly removed it to satisfy my curiosity. Another member described the sound as hooligantastic, which after a few spirited moments with the throttle must say is an accurate description
Many litres of fuel will now be wasted
