Coup Eh?

Evening All,

...so I finally have access to funds, now comes the fun/ daunting part. On first impressions I was keen on a soft top but upon seeing the coupe...wow. Insurance doesn't change "too" much and its doable.

How does the flappy paddle, Jenson Button style gear shifting work for people?

I'm in London, any decent motor places to check out for one? They seem pretty scarce and as much as I love the soft top...the price getting one fixed and maintenance doesn't appeal :/ (I've seen upwards of 1000 to get the soft top motor fixed)

Cheers peeps....the hunt is on....

You can get the top motor replaced for around £600 at a decent indie/specialist. £1000 is stealer price. I believe it's only the earlier cars that really suffered from roof motor failure anyway. As long as you keep the drains clear you are ok. To be honest, there isn't any other real maintenance. They are pretty durable. Don't let a few horror stories put you off the joy of top down motoring :driving:

Get a coupe - and get auto! The manual box lets the car down in my opinion.

Speak to Chris Knott (forum sponsor) re-insurance I've had +ve experience.

definately go for the coupe, very exclusive, only 2791 in UK (less any that have been wqrote off)

You'll be missing out on the best thing about a true sports car - nothing but the sky above you

Dont do it! :headbang: :poke:

The advantage with a coupe is that the insurance will be less.

The big disadvantage is that you will need to buy a can opener to really experience the "ultimate driving machine" :poke:

Joking aside you will be happy with either a coupe or roadsters as they are both great cars in their own way.

Srhutch....I know your game lad :-D Only an hour away, beautiful car sitting outside waiting to be sold.

I really didn't think it'd be this tough tbh. Not only all the things above but the small engine the coupes have is a 3ltr. Buying one would surely automatically book Warl and a lamp post a date?

Ahhhh maaaaaaan...what to do :D What a lovely predicament to be in.
