You can now set your country in the account settings. If you do then a flag appears next to your location.

You can set country and location individually, and you don't have to enter either if you don't want to.

It's not showing on smaller displays to avoid unnecessary clutter
 
I once set the language on my phone to Lithuanian just to see what what it would look like. Imagine my joy when it took me hours to work out how to change it back to English when I couldn't read a bloody word of it.
Following on from that though I used to go in Curry's and do the same thing to the sat navs that were on display :-)

Haha, funny about the phone…. In other news, I used to work in Currys and I don’t like you anymore! 🤣

On some phones it helps when you play that prank on someone, to remember how far down the list the English

Unfortunately that doesn’t work where the OS rearranges the list as the appear alphabetically in the current launguage.

Luckily I can understand just enough of Roman/Greek/Cyrillic alphabets to fix those…logographic ones not so much (kanji, hangul, et al).
