Council Tax....Jesus H Christ..

i'm 22, i'm not sure if i'm being wise or stupid, would appreciate it if someone would set me straight.

it occured to me some time back that the UK is basically screwed, year on year we just get taxed more and more, to the current point where moving out isnt even an option for me.

my personal view is that the UK is a dead horse and that i should just escape while i still can.

for example, in cyprus i could earn a similar wage but my mortgage repayment would be £250 verses £700! the same applies to things like car insruance, i pay £1292 currently, but in cyprus i would pay maybe £200!
 
Looking at what is happening with the greek economy I personally would not be looking to move in with them, But your point is a good one but i would be looking to move somewhere where the economy is more solid and where you are not taxed to DEATH. NZ would be interesting.

And remember you may be able to ensure your Z for approx £200.......

But you wouldnt get to drive on roads like this....
