Corrosion

Something to look out for, all be it minor but still annoying every time I reach for the door handle is bubbling of the rubber window seal door trim.
It would appear that damp is corroding the metal strip inside the rubber and it starts to bubble at the end.
Seen this on cars 30 years ago.
Why the strip inside wasn't made of stainless.
Too late my car but a blob of grease might just seal the end of the strip.
Post pic when I can.

Would this not be covered by the paint warranty,not sure how long it lasts :?

Ideally need a picture to get an idea of which part. Corrosion warranty is 12 years not sure that applies to the strips along the windows and roof. I've seen them pitted and well discoloured over the years.

You could replace the strip.....

About £30.

I would go and see them at BMW and see if they will honour any kind of corrosion warranty..
