Corroded style 108's...ever past saving?

I've got a set of extremely corroded style 108's sitting in my garage they're pretty much the worst I've seen looking at other people's pictures.
My question is are they ever past saving?

As long as they are physically intact and the metal is not eaten away then I guess they are recoverable. Most, though look terrible, are only cosmetic damage. Only you can decide if they are financially worth it!

I had mine done last year. When the guy stripped them, the previous owner had obviously taken a grinder to them at some point to clean them up. He had to machine quite a bit off the outer rim and you do see a noticeable gap where they meet the points on the spokes. They look ok, so the answer is they are never too far gone, but they will probably never be perfect.

To be fair I doubt the refurb costs are much higher if they are sh*gged than if they are just tired, so long as most of the metal is still there!

If you don't want them why not just post a "For Sale" advert as they are, that way people can pick whatever finish they want.
