So it's been a while since I changed oil filter. For some time I had a strange whining noise coming from the engine, so today I looked at the oil filter and it's showing signs of collapsing. I used a proper Mann filter recommended on the forum.
I fitted Mahle ox387d1 filter instead which was supplied by opieoils and after a test drive it seems much better. Have a look at the rubber lip on the new Mahle filter
Now I'm kinda lost if I should leave the Mahle or get one from BMW?
