No, that rules us out Helen.
We were going to do Cornwall and the Atlantic Highway anyway this year but were restricted for weekends anyway. It obviously isn't viable for is to do a one day meet due to distances there and back on top of the drive & meet itself. This means we will have to carry on as planned but miss your event if it's earlier than the 19/20th

Don't let us stop you with your plans though as you still have 4 or 5 attendees anyway I think.

Yes, will still sort something for an earlier weekend, just a shame we couldn't tie the two together... Maybe another time??

All being well I'm having a surfing weekend, if I can still fit in the wettie, on the 4th -6th if you arrange anything for then, be nice to see a couple of faces if you don't mind a northern emmet.
 
Last weekend in Sept is good for me 26th/27th :driving: I'm central, moving house so will be just outside Truro (Threemilestone)

What's the latest on this? Any firm dates / venues? Keen for this Cornwall meet to happen :)
 
I'm still in. No idea where these places are your talking about, Though Pandora had her box opend. Didn't know it was a place in Cornwall :lol:

Pandora is a nice pub on the waters edge at a place called mylor just outside Falmouth. It's nice there but car park is small and is busy alot

The Cornwall services I mentioned is right on the A30 just before Bodmin if coming from Truro side :)
 
Ok I know the services you mean down toward Lanivet. That looks pretty central for every one to meet. Any one got a circular route in mind with the services as the start finish point? Is the date firm? What start time? Are we stopping on route for Breakfast/ lunch etc

Hi all,

So sorry that I've been rather absent recently... been quite a hectic few weeks for various reasons that I won't go into.

Anyway... it seems that we have a 'crew' for our potential meet.

I'd been thinking about Lanhydrock as a possible venue?? It's free parking and my partner works for National Trust and could probably arrange free entrance for anybody who's not already a NT member.

How does that sound???

If everyone's agreeable then it's just a case of agreeing the date.

I'll spend some time this evening going through the posts to narrow it down to the most popular.

I hadn't really factored in arranging a drive, just meeting up. I'm not really familiar with roads round that part of Cornwall so if you wanted to plan a route that'd be fine with me. If not, then just meeting up with everyone to say 'Hello' would be good too.
