X XMetal Member Sunny California Aug 4, 2020 #4 Have not changed mine - 2008 with 63k miles. If it's not losing/leaking coolant, I think you're OK. FYI - I have changed it 2x on my 2004 e53 X5 with 147k miles, but the Z has been good most likely to the location away from the hot radiator.
