Coolant warning light on and the fan doesn't run

Hi Z4ers,
Got a niggle with our 2008 2.5 e85.
Coolant warning light comes on as soon as the car starts to warm up.
Had it checked for leaks and all ok.
So I've been told it'll either be a Thermostat problem or Waterpump issue or Temperature fan switch?
Would anyone else have this or had it?
Is it a common thing with these?
All help and advice muchly appreciated please!
Cheers 👍

Sorry to hear your problem, I’d guess water pump. If you don’t know when it was changed I’d be looking at replacing anyway along with the thermostat.

Ok, thanks for that.
I'll get it to a local BM specialist. (Recommendations welcome for Southwest London areas?)
Cheers

Get some quotes first, I don't expect that to be a cheap job paying someone to do it. The pump is £600+ from BMW and about £300 from Pierburg. I wouldn't install any other brand.
It is a doable DIY, or maybe a local member can help.

I am up NW London but my availability might not suit. I'd also have to plan it in so I have my air compressor etc.

Thanks kindly for that. Very good of you to offer your help too!
I'll get some quotes locally, as there is a few.
I've heard good things about RBM in Hook too.
Cheers 👍
