Coolant low?

Hello, I recently had my coolant expansion tank replaced. The shop said that they pressurized the system and found no other leaks. It’s been pretty hot the last few weeks in southern California. I recently turned on the car and had the coolant light come on and then go off after engine gets up to temp. I refilled and it took quite a bit of coolant into the car. I look around when I park and don’t see anything dripping or puddles.

I called the shop and he said that it could be the expansion tank he put in. If it’s so hot it blows off through the cap.

Could that be the reason?

Wait and see if it comes back, there is chance it burped a bit more once you got it back from them. It might have just been at the limit when you got it back hence the flickering once hot.
