Hi Guys,

I get an Amber Coolant low level warning occasionally while driving it goes off after a few minutes then back again, level is perfect !

Anyone changed one of these on a 2004 2.2 L E85 ? Had a look can't see anything without dismantling more, part number would be handy too if anyone knows it ?

Thanks

Update:- I replaced the Sensor(switch) still have the same problem, tested the old switch it works.

I suspect the Header tank float magnet has dislodged from the float or some other mechanical problem in the H.tank, so I'm going to order a new tank, in the meantime I'll Bridge the connector to keep the light off as I've a NCT (MOT) coming up and don't have time to fix it before then.

Has anyone used a non OEM header tank without any issues ? Probably cheaper, I haven't checked with BMW for a price yet !

Yes I've used a eurocarparts one, about £40 from memory. Changing it took a while, but seems Ok now.
