I have a coolant leak at the left front of the engine on my 2004 3.0i. I say this only because that is where I can see a puddle on the lower splash pan. The puddle is directly down from the top of the engine head which sits in the engine bay to the side. Does anyone know how I can tell if it is the lower hose or the water pump ? I am not getting any coolant spraying around the engine compartment which I would expect if it was the water pump ( at least on other cars the water pump leaking really sprays with the engine fan ) Any help would be appreciated. Anyone have the dealer or an Indy fix this and know what it may cost ? Is replacing the water pump a real PITA as I have found it to be on other cars ?
