Greetings,
I developed a coolant leak on the right side, (passanger side), of my 2003 2.5i Z4. Pulling out of the garage leave a nice straight line of fluid after about 10 feet out of the garage. Will puddle on right side if stopped. Nothing after warm up? What should I be looking for on that side? Thermostat, pump, other? Thanks a bunch. The Zinkster

Are you sure it's coolant? Smell it.

The right hand side houses the washer bottle so it's way more likely that, or water from aircon that's puddled on the car somewhere and dripping off once moved.

Mine leaves a nice streak of water if washed garaged then the next day reversed out.

Yes, coolant. Washer fluid is full with no changes. Radiator is now low. Puddle and streak is a greasy, slippery blue-ish in color fluid. Smells like antifreeze. I am thinking pump, which from what I understand, means moving the engine to get to. Thanks for the advice! The Zinkster

That's not good at all then

I don't think anyone has ever had a genuine coolant leak and posted about it on the forum. I'd have a good feel around the engine while cold to isolate the source. Possible heater hoses?

Greetings,
Got the car up and sure enough, pump AND thermostat leaking. The thermostat is easy, but that darn pump is not. Looks like a trip to the Stealer for that piece. I'll post the damages shortly. Thanks for the advice. The ZINKSTER

Ok, found the post: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9385

Your leak could just be the O-Rings in the hoses..
