Coolant change

Just bought some BMW coolant ( concentrate, not pre-mixed) and my understanding is to have a 50/50 mix but the parts guy thought i might not need as much coolant as that? Was running a bit late so didn't get a chance to speak to the service people.

So whats the best mix to use on the N52 engine ( Z4 Coupe)?

I know there is some debate about using tap water, so got some de-ionised water from ECP!
 
50/50 is spot on. Too much anti freeze and you'll lower the freezing point. Too little and it won't do too well when it's really cold. Using de-ionized water is also a good move, even more so than distilled. Using tap water is a bad idea as over time it'll lead to over heating. I do what you've done for my N52 engine too :thumbsup:
