Coolant advice pls

I'm about to pop down to Halfords as I've notice the coolant is quite low. No issues on the dash but the floating stick is sitting at minimum. I don't plan to do any fancy like a full flush. Will save that for next spring me thinks. Shouldn't be driving it much in winter.
I'm just wondering if I need to open the bleed nipple while giving it a refill with some blue ready mix?

Thank you in advance

I’d say for a top up as long as it’s not a huge amount needed you should be ok not opening the bleed screw

No worries.

A quick online search states NAP-Free but the shop assistant swore blind I should follow the halfords system suggestion (Meg something) :headbang:

Go to a local Eurocarparts or parts distributor and get from there. Halfords has its place as a shop, but for better products and better prices , go to a mainstream supplier if you can. I used Comma X48 as a top up for mine and all is good.

Thanks T, will give it a go

I have the N52 engine, to bleed the system, so we only have the option for auto bleed? Can we manually bleed the coolant some how? Not sure my battery will manage it.

Sadly I think the electronic bleed is the only option for the N52 engines.

Could you hook it up to a charger or a 2nd battery while you run the bleeding process?

Hey, I took the risk and managed without a charger. Nice easy process, managed to top up and bleed but I think my dip stick float is stuck. Doesn’t bob up, just stays at the bottom.
Anyone recommend me getting some long nose pliers and giving it a pull?
