I used to have something similar to this in both cars:

One day I realised both cars were full of things that weren't needed 99% of the time: screen wash, bottles of water, de-icer, bulb kits, hazard triangles, I think even a small bottle of coolant and oil might have been in there (a habit started when I had older and less reliable cars...)

I took the crate out and put the stuff that really mattered back in the car and it now fits in the cargo net on one side of the boot!

that would be the battery cover - on the ///M's the battery is in the boot rather than underneath it - made way for quad exhausts!

Had thought the battery was in the front of the passenger footwell, obviously getting confused with a different car.

a habit started when I had older and less reliable cars...

I used to drive everywhere with a fully loaded toolbox in my boot in previous cars! Talk about extra weight!

I agree... your carpet looks even darker than mine. might be time for an upgrade
and swap that boot light for an led too 8)
