convertible top canvas woes

I have this odd stuff on my convertible top and I am wondering what is the best thing to use to get it off? I thought as first the these spots were due to worn fabric but it is due to some type of grease. I am not sure where it came from. I tried using GuGone and it works a little it but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Impossible to tell for a photo what it is, but my wild guess would be mold from storing the roof down wet.

My suggestion would be to take it to a pro and have them take a look at it. Tinkering yourself is unlikely to fix it and at worse will land you a bill for a new roof
