Convertible Roof Combing

Somehow I've managed to get fluffy white threads all over the roof of the car:

I tried washing it with a pressure washer but the photo above is the result... still stuck on. Is there any brush/comb etc I can use to get this stuff off without damaging the fabric? The bits aren't damaging the roof (I don't think) and it's been there a while as I thought the air moving over it would whip them off. Stuck like bloomin' barnacles to a hull!

Vacuum cleaner. I have recently started to wash my roof before I do the car with the mequires wash and wax car wash that I use on the car. I use one of my wife's micro fibre pads and I have noticed that it is looking much nicer. I then rinse off with a garden hose. By the way it's not a good idea to use a pressure washer apparently.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I'll try vacuum and gaffer tape first then get a lint roller if it's persistent.

I would be surprised if a vacuum works.
I suggest as others have said, just some gaffer tape to take it off.
For my old E85 I used to keep a horse hair hand brush in the boot and brush the roof down every couple of weeks, you would be surprised how much dust and crap comes out of it that you cannot see.

I have the same, except the horse hair brush now loses more hairs on the roof than it takes stuff off

Guess I need a new one

i just use a car wash sponge that has been rung out so practically dry and just slightly damp and then just rub it over the roof and it seems to pick up everything like that
