Hi all,

So its not long now till summer and i was looking to give the z4 roof a bit of a clean. However it looks like its in need of more than that, it looks very tired and faded. Can anyone reccomend the best option. I have heard of The Renovo diy kit, is this my best option? Or does anyone reccomend doing it a via a professional company? If so can anyone reccomend one?

Have a search as there are many threads on it and as many different opinions of cleaning, colouring and restoring products, cleaning technique and protection

Just done mine, used Autoglym cleaner and sealer, but added liquid black shoe polish to the sealer as advised on another thread
and it looks brand new, really pleased with the result.

Might be a stupid question but how much black liquid shoe polish do you add to the sealer? I'm about to do mine in the next couple of weeks.
Cheers

Not 100% sure on measurements but I think the shoe polish was 125ml so did roof once without then added polish gave it a good shake then did the roof again, sorry for being vague but I really just guessed , came out good tho :o

My roof was transformed with Renovo Reviver that I bought off a member on here.

It was only a 500ml bottle but I guess I used approx. 350-400ml of it.

Hides the 'fold' marks quite well and the odd light spots it had in it have gone.

Sealed with Fabsil Gold although some will say you shouldn't seal it. My roof is over 10yrs old now so I thought I'd treat it to a deep clean with TFR and Dr Johnsons sterilising fluid, recoloured with Renovo Reviver and sealed with Fabsil Gold.

Looks a whole lot better now and the water beads off just lovely.
