Converted to a coupe

Def look nice an nice car; and i do have a soft spot for blue.

I didnt think you could get Eagle F1's as RFT's. Bit cheeky of BMW to sell that without RFT's; maybe point that out for a free mobility kit?

Only thing which would put me off on that car would be the no xenons; which imo bmw really should have made standard on the 3.0.

Does look nice

Have the seats been swapped out? Don't the cream seats come with matching carpets/mats? :?

Thanks for the tips guys,i'm taking it for a spin today and will have good check round, did'nt really get chance to have good look round yesterday as it was raining and nearly dark

One question i will be asking is the 108's they are starting to show signs of the dreaded corrosion,so what are the chances of BMW changing them for a new set and if they don't shall i just walk away? :|

Regarding the Xenons i'm sure it said on the dealer website that it had headlight washers so with the washers would that mean it has Xenons :?
No way to confirm it now as the dealer has taken the details off their website.

On the number plate the first two letters are CA was the car first registered in Wales.

Get dealer to have the wheels refurbished as part of the deal. New car warranty will replace them only if the car is less than 3 years old. Or should you find a coupe with 135m wheels (multi-spoke)?

Def get them to split and refurb them correctly if they cant replace them; But you never know they may replace them if they have some stock locally; when i got mine replaced under the 3 year warranty they said I could book my car in the same week as they had the wheels available!!

Personally i love the 108's and are worth keeping them if they offer a swap.... like a lot of good girls; they are high maintenance but look so pretty!!

It doesnt have xenons - i can see a headlight adjustment switch; which would be mising on if they had xenons. All 3.0 have headlight washers - which imo are useless... should be called bonnet washers as they just spray crap on the bonnet of the car

Think you have answers to all your specific questions

Def. get replacement 108's, or correctly split and refurbed. Insist on splitting or walk away as a quick overspray will leave a major problem in a year.

Downsides I see here are non xenons and looks like no Sat Nav either. Always a big debate on here but they are 2 not easily retrofitted items and will lower resale.

Personally I'd test it and see if you like the idea of a coupe, auto and paddles, then walk away and look at some others. Plenty out there right now.

As for the hood you mentioned if it came with the lease then it belongs to BMW.

Tempting you the darkside is, give in to temptation not, regret it you will when breaks through the big yellow orb in sky.

did you buy the hardtop with the car or separately?if you did buy it yourself,I don't see why that has to go with the car.

Handy though, having a hatchback........ you can carry a washing machine home, now that you have settled down..... :poke:

Just try giving the car back to them without the hardtop. Wait a couple months before selling it in case they notice.

Driving past my local BMW dealer(Coopers Durham) the GF spotted this on the forecourt so popped in there it was a Montego blue coupe, 07 3.0si with 43k on the clock with Pearl Grey Oregon Leather and Piano Black Dash
So i'm test driving it tomorrow,it is an auto with paddle shifters, used to a manual so am i going to be disapointed or have you got the best of both worlds Auto and Manual.
I was going to put a link up the to dealer but he has now taken it off so here are couple of pics taken from my BB.

Any advice would be greatful

P.s if the deal goes ahead they could be a few bits up for sale Cruise control, maybe H/top unless has to goe back with the car, matt black grilles.

Looking round the car it has Goodyear Eagle F1's are they R/flats if so are they better than the B/stones?

Could I suggest you check the fit of the o/s door. The rear shut line doesn't look quite right to me especially at the bottom - or perhaps the door wasn't fully closed

The door wasn't shut properly.

Had a test drive and love it so the deal is done
The wheels are going to get full refurb, the company they use the salesman rated them very highly but will give them a full check over when i collect the car.
I checked the tyres over and they are goodyear R/flats but they do give a smoother ride than the B/stones.
So overall very happy with the car i know it has'nt got Nav or Xenons, my opinion is you don't miss what you never had.

make sure you check back of the alloys as well, when they refurbished mine, the damaged the edge of the rim on the back,I think when they put the tyres back on.Have given it back to them to get it sorted :headbang:

How did you get on with the auto and paddles?

Better than i thought but will need a bit more practice with the paddles i was a bit all fingers and thumbs with them

Thanks for the comments CJ

I got confused with the paddles when I tried an auto E89. Now BMW finally introduced "left for downshift/right for upshift" layout on sport automatic for some new models, e.g. 5-series and 135i.
