convenient loading

Has anybody got the convenient loading working?, I've tried the press the boot release button on the fob followed by press and hold within 1 second, and I've tried the press the boot release twice followed by a press and hold, but the boot just opens and the lock makes a noise, the roof has never lifted to it highest point so I'm able to load the boot with the top down.

Same here. Probably some form of comfort access we don't have.

yes, I don't have the comfort module. I dont know what comforts the comfort module gives, but i was able to code using Carsita the automatic power folding mirrors.

You can only do it if your car has the comfort access option from the factory. Most of these E89s don't seem to be fitted with this option.

I have the comfort option, it gives you keyless entry and start, open and close the roof from the fob and apparently a 'comfort load' option I had never even heard of....

Well I've never been to bothered about having a smart top module just to open and close the roof tbh; but if it provides this loading option then it may well be worth it. Can anyone with a smart top confirm or deny this please?

It's not that well documented in the Smarttop literature and I found it by mistake, although if you search google it is documented on various forums including this one.

When you have the roof fully open with the Smarttop and then keep the "Open" button depressed on key fob then the roof unloads above the passenger compartment and stops there. It also unlocks the boot at the same time so you can access the boot as if the roof was closed. Then close then boot and keep the "Open" button on key fob pressed and the roof returns to the fully open position.

I have a smarttop module fitted & it definitely does this ^^

You’ll get 70% of the cost back when you eventually sell the car so it’s cheap as chips really, man maths win every time :P
Ps, you’ve got the decimal point missing in your sig on the 2.5i
