Conundrum..

So, in a bit of a pickle at the moment...

I have just checked my tyres for wear and found that my O/S/R is getting to be around 4-5mm.
The front 2 are 5-6mm
and the N/S/R was recently replaced due to a nail so is on 7-8mm.

I currently have Bridgestone Potenza run-flats.

So my conundrum is this, do I just replace the worn tyre for another run-flat?

Or do I buy a complete set of wheels and tyres (Non Run-flat?)

If I do get a wheel and tyre combo, I'm unsure on what wheels to get.
My shortlist is Style 224M - Been done to death but IMO looks fantastic.
CSL Style wheels - Again been done to death - Not keen on buying reps, but can't really fork out for the real deal.
BBS LM or CH style wheels again will have to be reps unless I can pick up a bargain set.
Or finally a set of 3DSM 0.01 (Look kinda like CSL's)

As my car is a Daily driver, I want to keep the wheels 18" not too keen on going to 19"

The tyres I would run and heard good reviews about are Michelin Pilot Supersports.

To be honest, I want the 224's just because they are OEM.. (I just can't find any for sale!!! :headbang: )
I am unsure of using reps and what company are reputable - I know BMautosport stock quite a few reps, also how do 18" CSL reps look? do they look noticeably different?

What are your opinions?

Cheers,
Dan.

I got into this just before Christmas and changed the runflats for some goodyears, which are 100% improvement than before.

They didn't all need changing then and there but being slightly OCD the tyres should all match so I had them all changed.

I asked about different style wheels because my MV2's aren't in a good state. I still havent changed them by 18" CSL reps were my first choice because mine is also a daily driver and I wanted to be able to keep the tyres I'd just purchased.

Here's the link to the thread with which has some pictures of the reps from BMAutosport. Kermit1970 posted his car with them on - looks great I think.

P.S - Are you still heading home the same way...haven't seen you again since our last encounter!

Cheers, Dan

Yeah I saw Kermit's car with the 18" CSL reps on.. looked impressive.
I'm still undecided on what to do as I would like a spare set of wheels / tyres, will just have to play the waiting game me thinks!

Yeah I have still been going home the same way, was going to say the same!
I have been going on the A31 in the mornings seeing as traffic hasn't been too bad recently.

Cheers,
Dan.

I've had this problem since I got the car.
What I would really like is the look of 19" CSL's at the weight of real CSL's, at the price of reps and the comfort of an 18" wheel. Is that too much to ask?!?!?!

But seriously, my tyres are near new, with freshly refurbished 108's so it would be stupid to upgrade now. Plus the 108's don't look too bad...

Do real CSL's fit on a 3.0 coupe?
