Controversial opinion

Alright, another controversial one:

I find the light intensity and beam pattern acceptable with the halogens. The xenons are better (had them on the white coupe) but not by nearly as much as most people here would have you believe…

Mind, still won’t stop me from upgrading the lot in the future though :lol:
 
The quality of the interior is crap. My console has cracked vertically near where your hip sits right where the screw secures it to the sides. The little clips that conceal those screws fall out. The button for the rear storage area broke which I know is common. Lots of creaks and rattles. not BMW's best work. My s2000 is 7 years older with higher miles and the interior is in amazing condition.

At least the Ms had Bi-Xenons as standard!

Oooh I love the round side indicators, surprised to see those on here!

100% agree with HPAS, if there was one thing I could change with the z4's it's the electric steering (I know you can change it, but at a cost)
 
I think E85/6s look quite ugly at the front. Every other angle is great but straight on is their worst for me.
The plastics in the interior are awful but nowhere near as bad as other cars of a similar era.
The suspension is too crashy- usual BMW problem of hard springs and soft anti roll bars.
BMW were being entirely ridiculous when they tried to sell it as a boxster competitor.

That said, it’s not stopped me owning 2 of them and still thinking they’re awesome!

That’s not just controversial, that’s almost offensive :lol: The maritime trim in the otherwise somewhat sober/bland interior of the E85/6 looks just so out of place

my guilty pleasure! it looks insane in a light coloured interior against interlagos.... agree on the sobre z4 interior is so basic it will always look good and timeless, theirs nothing in their! lol! materials are pants but .... shes an oldy now!
 
The best feature on my coupe was the bird bath!

People who specified red leather in a blue Z4 should be taken to the yard and shot

I've seen it mentioned a couple of times before, but I don't think the EPAS is as bad as everyone loves to describe.

I do only ever drive with Sport mode on, and maybe my steering is slightly sticky which adds some sort of perceived "weight" to the wheel, but if I got in the car and didn't know it had EPAS, I wouldn't have noticed.

- black grilles are ugly, they make the front of the car look like it has two holes
- black rims are ugly
- style 108s should only be in silver, not in god forbid two colors
- pre facelift car looks classier and better
- E85 should only come with straight 6 and manual
- epas is fine with me but could be better
- backbox delete is pointless and does not fit the car
- suspension is fine for me

That's all I could think of :rofl:
