Consumer Survey Air Fryers

After my successful request for opinions on electric shavers (purchased Phillips 5000 which is great and as feedback suggested) thought I would again ask valued members opinions on Air Fryers. Are they any good and which one?

Looking at reviews on line based on quality and mid price the Ninja dual looks good at circa £160.

Any reviews would be appreciated

I honestly think they are a waste of time. Who would eat fried air?

It's free if you hang around a chip shop too. :D

The 'Red Arrows' are getting deserved bad publicity at the moment, so I would avoid them.
Assuming that you like Pondrew don’t have one then?

Philips again, excelent results.
thanks, do you have one and if so which model?

Yes - have had it for 5 years or so. They all have 5 star reviews though, but this model seems to be most like the one we have:

I’ve got the Power xl Vortex 4.7ltrs about £90 in Argos
It’s basically a small fan oven. It cooks much quicker and better than a conventional oven.
Make sure you get one with a reasonable capacity. Mine is ideal for 2 peeps.
The cooking parts are dishwasher safe and come up clean every time
People who knock them have clearly never used or owned one

Good to know, don’t want the Little lady getting hurt.

"I don't care what you say, I won't agree with your view."

Anyways i got an air fryer 2 years ago, not used it yet
A Vonshef (Sure you need one, another gadget in the corner)

We have a MoHealth one - think it was £80, been switched on about 5 timeline year, works ok.

My lad has a Ninja dual and swear by it - uses his oven twice a month I think

Thanks guys, the comments reflect what I have already read, mixed reviews whether they are useful or not.

I have dual ovens and the wife thinks an air fryer would save having to use the larger one quite as much. Personally I think the energy savings even with the forthcoming rises would take a couple of years to make up what the air fryer would cost.

I suspect there will only be one winner so thought I would at least get a decent one.

+1 for the Ninja dual zone

+1

btw, it's not just about the savings in money, they are so much quicker to use for certain things... no pre-heating and cook most things in half the time.

We have a Ninja Tendercrisp which can do the work of several other gadgets in one device. It will pressure cook, steam, slow cook, make yoghurt. It air crisps, grills, bakes/roasts and dehydrates. So we have got rid of a number of gadgets we no longer need thus freeing up space in the kitchen. We use it on a regular basis and find it very effective and easy to clean. The one drawback is that it is quite bulky and heavy to move about.

I have an oil fired aga and, due to the recent heat (and price of oil), it's been switched off for weeks and I've been mainly using a Tower air fryer. For the money I really can't knock it.

I must live a very sheltered life, I’ve never heard of an air fryer.

I’m off to consult Google now……
