Have I bought the bargin of the year, never had a scalextric, but this looked to good to miss.

Cost delivered £25.50 rrp £200

But will I get away with it, what are my rights as a consumer.

OK the details, I was flicking through the Additions catalogue that was delivered on sunday and this was listed at £22 GBP, thought it must be just some cars, but looked at above link and no, its the full set, so thought I would check the additions site, again listed at £22, with £3.50 delivery and in stock.

So I ordered Sunday evening, and it was delivered today, checked by credit card and been debited £25.50

Can Additions ask for the extra money?

PS if your thinking of trying it yourself you will be out of luck, in stock sunday evening, 5 week leadtime yesterday, now unavailable.

Doesn't sound like they would have a leg to stand on legally, but then again I live in the US. If they advertised at that price, billed, and delivered, I see no way of them being able to say it was a mistake. :idunno:

They haven't a hope of getting anything. You have completed the transaction.

One important thing to note is that the price that they display is not a legal offer - the offer is what you offer to pay. They have accepted, by the looks of it.

In any case, they would have absolutely no right to charge your card for any extra - and if they did it would just take one call to your credit card company to back it out.

that was pretty much my understanding, as you say they have accepted my payment and completed the transaction which makes it legal contract.

But I just wanted to check :wink:

Had a similar occurance several years ago...
Bought a $2500 monitor that they mistakenly advertised for $1500.

After talking to the SM, they honoured the advert price.
