Constant need to log in

One for the IT technical gurus.

iPhone 6 for surfing the forum.

When I used to click an email message advising me of a new post to a thread it would call up the log in screen, automatically populate it, log in and refresh with the web page and thread of the message and take me directly to it.

Now it gives me the website log in page where I have to enter user name and password.

Even if I click ‘remember me’ the same happens every time I come back to the site.

I have:
Cleared out the stored password on the iPhone and reloaded it to the password vault.
Passwords and Autofill is on and I can see no other setting in Safari or in the iPhone settings that I have wrong.

Any ideas as it’s driving me mad to have to log in everytime I visit the forum?
 
It happens only for me when I switch wifi. I have 6 WiFi Access points and when you change, it forces you to log in again.

Is this for you on the same access point where it requests it again?
 
I rarely use phone so 99% is home laptop & I have to log in every time even through same wi-fi point & even though ive ticked remember me ?
The user name & password are highlighted but still have to go through the process :?
 
I have shortcuts on my phones desktop which remembers my login so I can usually go straight back in without logging on each time, occasionally I will lose the remembered login credentials or it wont remember them so usually find its cured by rebooting the phone, this is an HTC M8 though.

Ok so I'm traveling all the time but it occurs each time even if on the same wifi network and same access point.
Doesn't happen on ipad or laptop, so iPhone specific.

Reboot doesn't help. Even upgraded to iOS 8.2 tonight and done the same again requiring log in.

Hope someone has an answer as these must be a setting somewhere that's wrong??
 
Sorry Adamski - missed the ip address comment.
Not sure why that should affect it, but I'm on the same IP address any given day or evening and still get it happening.
 
Could be a cookie issue. Try deleting the cookies (not sure if you can do just that from IOS or if you need to purge browsing history) and try again. Also, if you have a saved bookmark for the forum, delete that first, then re-add it once it's sorted.
 
If my I pad is on private browsing i have the same problem,take off private browsing problem gone.Dont know if the iPhone is the same.

i log in on several different PC's and at different places, i find i have to log back in every so often on them all as if licence has run out or something? possibly the address thing already mentioned.
 
Maxman - that was it...

I must have sometime ago clicked it and didn't even know it was set to private. toggled it to off. Log in again, saved password and subsequent times it worked perfectly.

Guess if I surfed porn on my iPhone or iPad I'd have known this :)

Open Safari. On bottom right hand corner click the icon with 2 squares (opens up any open safari pages). From there on the bottom left corner is the 'Private' button that toggles.
