Considering a roof wrap...anyone in the midlands?

Hi All,

I am considering a carbon/black wrap on my roof. Has anyone else done this in the midlands/Notts area? I think the white car will look great with this roof, but, will it hold up to repeated opening and closing without peeling back off?

When it is time to change the car, will it come off without damaging the paint?

Is there anyone in my area who will do a good job?

I had a carbon wrap on my front spoiler but took it off as I wasn't sure about it in the end......However Dynamic Window Tinting in Birmingham did mine and made a good job of it really.
It wouldn't be a problem wrapping the roof as it's not as if anything will be rubbing against it. Also you can take it off without damaging paintwork, but you might need to heat it up first before it just peels off.

I think a roof wrap will look great. I have something pretty special lined up for my bonnet before it gets carbon wrapped, the z4 is so big it acts as a frigin canvas for some wicked customisation...

Go for it!

There is a good place in Daventry, They have also just got a new wrap material which is like the stuff they use for flocking dash boards but can go on exterior and is completely washable etc and comes in quite a few mat finish colours, Was thinking of having mine done but haven't talk my self into it yet,

Just don't wrap it in carbon.

It doesn't fool anyone.

I would like it to match the windscreen sides. I have seen too many WRXs with carbonette peeling off to go with that! :D

Like this?

We're a rare breed so get it done, you won't regret it!

PS, I got this done at PDA in Harrogate, who were excellent.

Any more pics from different angles? My detailer reckons I should do it on my Recession White car.

Cant see it being a problem when opening/closing the roof, it is effectively another layer of paint (I know its not paint) and as the painted roof surfaces don't touch anything, then it should be fine. And as its covering the whole of the two roof panels, when you take it off, there wont be any areas that look different to where the film was....cos it was all over.

What sort of money is a roof wrap?

Try Midlands Car Care - http://www.midlandscarcare.co.uk/about-us/ (they're also on Facebook and have a lot of examples of their work on there).
