ConnectedDrive - Setting up Gmail.

Had no luck in setting up gmail from car or http://www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk

This works if you're having problems.

1) Set up "2 Step Verification from within "Google Security". https://www.google.com/landing/2step/

What this will do is allow you to setup "mail" from "Other(customised name)"............I named it "BMW".
It then generates a custom 16 digit password that you enter as your Google password rather than your normal one during the mail setup process at http://www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk settings/Set up services/E-Mail accounts

Works a treat but doubt I'll use it much......just bugged me that I couldn't get it working.

Amazing - was having problems adding my Gmail account to my ConnectedDrive - just did this and it worked straight away.

In such a situation, it is really worth removing the issue of two-factor authentication, because to secure the same roundcube webmail it will not be difficult if you use one-time passwords using universal tokens of various levels.
